Happy Halloween!

We had a very fun Halloween here at the Bergman house! The weekend we found out Noelle is a girl, we went to my in-law's town to get pumpkins and decorate jack-o-lanterns. Michelle had fun running around the pumpkin patch and kissing piggy statues :)

All week long, Michelle was excited and talked about trick-or-treating. We decorated the house and wore our most festive Halloween gear.

The night of Halloween we walked around the block and then passed out candy to the kids in our neighborhood. We thought we'd get more kids, but we only got about 10-15 kids. I bought two bags of candy, but we used about 1/2 of one bag.

Mish was so excited and polite while trick-or-treating! Everyone thought she was the cutest Tinkerbell ever. I have to agree :)

Happy Halloween from us! Here's a flashback from our first Halloween with Michelle. Such a cute pumpkin <3

Weekend Fun (part 2)

Notice a theme about the last part of our weekend? Pumpkins! We dressed up Michelle as a cute little jack-o-latern and took her to our local produce stand's pumpkin patch. She had fun eating hay and getting hugs from her cousins. I have some ideas about the 5 pumpkins we picked out...but I'll save that for another blog.

The evening was spent at our usual Sunday night hangout - my husband's parents' house. We cheered on the Giants while eating homemade tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons (chicken wings for the rest of the carnivores) and strawberry shortcake. The perfect ending to a great family weekend.

Halloweeeenie

This Halloween was very depressing; not because we weren't festive, or anything sad, but because we had 25 whole trick-or-treaters! We decorated our house to the max (the ONLY house in our court with the lights on) and the kids that did come were very impressed, but the doorbell probably rang 7 times. The majority of kids were probably 13 years old but beggers can't be choosers ;-)
Next year is going to be awesome because 1. we will take Bean to our friends/family's houses and check out their kids' costumes, and 2. we can mooch off of our lame neighbors for free candy. I didn't even get to see my nieces this year! Bummer.
I think I'll dress Bean up as Harry Potter or an Ewok next year..we'll see.

Things with Bean are same ole, same ole; still feeling awesome but really tired. I actually have been losing weight, which is COOL, but I'm getting bigger. I don't know how mother nature is working that one out, but I'm not complaining. Shoot, I like seeing lower numbers on my scale. I just hope Bean is getting everything s/he needs to progress wonderfully.

We have our appointment for Bean's 3D sex check ultrasound! It's December 11! It's crazy to think that we will know the sex of our baby (and Bean will have a NAME) in about 41 days! Cooool beans, yo. <3
